When you’re ready to download the files, open this page on your iPad so you can easily import them into Procreate.

Follow these instructions to download the files to your iPad. Make sure you’ve already installed the Procreate App.
Note: if you use Dropbox, the links may automatically open in the Dropbox App on your iPad. If so, tap the 3 dots in the top right corner of each file, choose Export, then Save to Files, and skip ahead to step 3 in the instructions above.

How to download the Procreate workbook file and Procreate brush
- Open the page that contains the file links in Safari on your iPad
- Tap each of the file links in Safari
- Tap the Download button and choose “Direct Download”
- Chose “Open in Procreate” and return to your GalleryThe Procreate file will be your most recent file, and the Brush will be in your “Imported” brush setThe files you downloaded are also in your “Files” app on your iPad
How to find the workbook pages in the file
- Open your Layers panel (two squares in top right corner)
- Use the checkboxes to show or hide layers
- Expand layer groups by tapping the “>”
- To write on a layer, turn it on by checking the box and select it in blue, then return to your canvas
Notes:
- We’ve locked the template layers so you don’t accidentally write on them. We recommend only writing on the layers that are named “Practice Here”
- If you turn on a layer by checking the box and nothing happens, you may have a layer turned on above it that’s hiding whatever’s below. Scroll up in your list of layers and uncheck whatever is hiding your layer.
How to use the color-changing brush
- Find “Loveleigh Brush ABCs” in your Imported brush folder
- Tap the circle color in the very top right corner of the screen to open the color menu
- You’ll see two squares in the top right of the color menu. Tap one square and change the color by choosing a color from your palette. Tap the other square to change the second color
- To eyedrop a color, tap and hold on the screen on top of the color and it will load to your brush
- To add a color to a palette so you can easily access it layer, go to Color Menu > Palettes > Create new (+) > Tap one of the gray squares to change it to the color you have loaded
Note: Use an Apple Pencil to unlock these features. Press harder or lighter to change the color.
My brush isn’t working
- Check brush opacity: Drag the bottom slider on the side of your screen up to 100%
- Make sure you have the brush selected, not the eraser
- Make sure your color isn’t the same as your background color
3 Ways to erase the layer
- Change your brush to the eraser and erase the strokes
- Open the layers menu, tap the layer and choose Clear
- Shortcut: Take 3 fingers and scrub quickly back and forth on the screen
How to export an image of your work
- Show/hide your layers in the layer menu until the screen is showing exactly what you want to share
- Go to Actions (Wrench) > Share > Share Image > PNG > Save image to iPad
- Find the image in your Photos app
I can only draw straight lines
- Open Layers
- Find the layer that says “Assisted”
- Tap the layer and uncheck “Drawing Assist”
- If that doesn’t work, re-import the workbook
I’m still having trouble and none of these answers have helped
- Restart your iPad and make sure you have the latest iOS and App update
- Try following the instructions again
- If it still doesn’t work, take a screenshot of the error you’re getting (press the home and power buttons at the same time)
- Upload an image of your screenshot and a description of the error in the comments and we’ll help as soon as we can
